We all love corn, especially corn-on-the-cob with a generous pat of butter.
To some, this is a seasonal treat. For others, it is a year round staple.
Corn is an essential grain filled with protein, Vitamins B, C and E, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc and Fiber. However, it is best utilized when complemented with other foods.
Therefore, this delicious looking dish of corn is best served slightly heated with a pat of butter, as a complement to any of the following: a bed of rice, potatoes, garden salad, and/or a meat dish.
To a vegetarian or someone on a diet, this may be considered a meal!
The dish of corn in the photo is the contents of a can of Mr. Goudas Whole Kernel Corn.
Of course, there are many other brands of the market, for example, Del Monte, Green Giant, Libbys, etc.
I will not spend time to tell you how corn is grown, harvested, etc., etc.

The only thing we will tell you about this is, that when the company decided to market Whole Kernel Corn he thought that it would be a good idea to search for manufacturers in Europe, Asia, Thailand and several other countries.
Then again, after long research for the best variety, the company decided to search our own back yard.
It was discovered that Canadian or US corn are two of the best varieties in the world.
As you may see in the photo, the corn is uniform in colour and size, the taste of course, we will leave up to you to decide.

This serving size serves two or more people.
A spoonful or two would be ideal as a side dish stuffed in Pita Bread..
You may also heat it up slightly and add a pat of butter to enhance the flavour.
For anyone who has never eaten canned corn, you are missing out on something good and once you try it, you will become addicted to it.

Needless to say, that this product contains Vitamin C, Fibre and Iron, and is an ideal part of a well balanced meal.
I recommend when purchasing this type of product, that it is best to buy a recognized brand.
Try to chew the kernels of corn before you swallow because the next day, you will see them looking right back at you!
The reason is that the stomach cannot digest the whole kernels of corn.
Chewing the corn before swallowing can solve the problem though.
Therefore, take the time to chew them properly.
