Vienna Sausages are those little delicate, pre-cooked canned sausages used as a quick snack or appetizer (toothpicks necessary).
There are a few well-known brands of Vienna Sausages: Hereford, Grace, Mr. Goudas.
The Mr. Goudas brand is Chicken Vienna Sausages.
You may open a can and snack on it as is.
However, this little treat may be enhanced as follows:
Place a few tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
Add one diced onion and saute until golden brown.
Remove the Vienna Sausages from the can and slice in two, lengthwise.
Add the sliced Vienna Sausages to the onions and fry for two to three minutes.
An amazing transition of the humble Vienna Sausage.
You may take a step further.
Beat two eggs, pour over your creation and cook for an additional few minutes.
It will be another amazing transformation.
It is an eye-opener, the aroma will penetrate your house, and even your neighbours house.
But guess what: You will be amazed at how much weight you will gain if you ate this for breakfast every day.
Reminder: I wrote a book on the factual account of an individual journey about being overweight titled: Overweight: Highway to a Healthy Life.
I have no problem with Vienna Sausages or a Vienna Sausage Omelet.
It is the four (4) SLICES OF BREAD YOU NEED TO EAT WITH IT.
That is the problem.
Nobody makes so such great tasting Vienna Sausages in the world! That is FINAL.
I am concerned that you may over use this recipe so I suggest that you only indulge on major holiday and special occasions only.
